All good gifts come from God. Resting is a good gift from God. In Mark, chapter 6:31, Jesus says to the disciples, “Come away to a deserted place all by yourselves and rest a while.” God commands us to Honor the Sabbath and keep it holy in Exodus 20. Set an intention for the month of September to come away and rest a while. Some possible intentions might be;

1) committing to attend worship every Sunday in September whether in person or online,

2) committing to praying the daily office (Morning Prayer or Evening Prayer),

3) attending the online gathering on September 15 at 7pm where Pastor Terri will share how to “Pray in Color”,

4) setting aside a time each day during September to stop and breathe for a few minutes,

5) posting to the social media platform of your choice a scripture or thought for the day,

6) or your own creative ideas. I invite you to write down your intention and place it in a visible place in your house or car to help remind you what you intend to do.

Praying in Color - Join Pastor Terri on September 15 at 7pm by Zoom to learn about the practice of Praying in Color.

Supplies needed for our time together;

  • Paper you can draw/color on

  • Colored markers/pens/crayons

  • Your imagination

  • Willingness to do something a little different while praying.

Drawing skills are not important or needed. Pastor Terri will share ideas of how this works and then we will practice together. All ages are welcome.
