Wednesday Lenten Devotions

Wednesdays in Lent – beginning February 17:

Study, Devotion, Prayer

It’s that time of the year again where we should take greater time to reflect upon our faith, confessing our sins, and strengthening our commitment to follow the path of Christ through all sorts and conditions.  To assist and be a presence, St. John’s will offer the following services and devotions on Wednesday evening.  Keep watch for more Lenten events to be scheduled.

6:00 pm Lenten Bible Study – In the season of Lent we are invited to read and meditate of God’s Holy Word – and we shall, focusing especially on the readings from the previous Sunday.  Join us.

6:30 pm Stations of the Cross – An annual tradition of an ancient devotion, following the footsteps of Christ to and beyond the cross.

7:00 pm Compline with Hymns and Anointing – The simple nighttime office of Compline, from the BCP, will be observed, with hymnody, and anointing available

During this time St. John’s will be open for prayer
