Fishin' with the Father

Fishin’ with the Father

Join Fr. Repp for a simple Bible Study of 1 Peter.  While St. Peter may be the most famous fisherman in history, a work attributed to him, the First Letter of Peter, is an oft ignored but impressive book in our Bible on how to “live life.”  This Bible study will meet in the St. John’s Common Room to simply read through this short work and allow plenty of time for questions and reflection – fishing for the Word.  Following, all those willing, may join Fr. Repp as he goes fishing (literally!) off the Elkhart Riverwalk – meeting at the foot bridge near McCarthy’s.  Please note, if you attend the literal fishing portion, you are responsible for your own license and following local fishing ordinances – and cleaning of any caught fish.  Children may come if accompanied by parent/guardian.

There will be three sessions.  If can’t make ‘em all, come to the ones you can.

Wednesday, June 10 – 6 p.m. Bible Study:  1 Peter Ch. 1 – 2.  Fishin’ at 7 p.m.

Wednesday, June 17 -  6 p.m. Bible Study:  1 Peter Ch. 3-4.  Fishin’ at 7 p.m.
