St. John's Nights in December: Advent & Atonement

St. John’s Nights:  Advent & Atonement (Aka, Fr. Dan is teaching again, watch out…)

One of the most essential doctrines of Christianity, what is sometimes called “the atonement”, is also one of the most debated – and yes, it does relate to Advent.  Well, sort of.  What is important is that both Advent and Atonement matter and are relevant today.  Fr. Dan will present a series of discussions on the classic theories of the atonement over the three Wednesday evenings in Advent:  December 3, 10, 17 – in the Great Hall.  Discussion will begin at 6 p.m. followed by a light meal of soup and salad and conclude with Compline, led by our interns.  If you would like to bring soup/salad, please see the clipboard.
